A short notice for visitors in the UK and elsewhere. Plain English, no legalese theatre.
What we collect
If you subscribe to research notes, we store your email address, the source of the signup (for example home or footer), and a timestamp in a Cloudflare D1 database bound to this site. We use that list only to send occasional educational research notes about relationship themes covered on ShipShopTV.
We do not sell email addresses. We do not use the list for unrelated marketing.
Cookies and local scripts
This site’s own script (site.js) handles the mobile menu and newsletter form. It does not set tracking cookies or analytics beacons. If your browser stores ordinary technical data for the form request, that is standard web behaviour, not a marketing profile.
Third parties
- YouTube — Watch page embeds and outbound links. Playing an embed may involve Google/YouTube cookies and privacy terms under their policies (we use youtube-nocookie.com where possible).
- Gumroad — Shop checkouts happen on Gumroad’s site. Payment and purchase data are handled by Gumroad, not by us.
- MailerLite — Only if we have configured a MailerLite API token on the server. Then a copy of your email may also be sent to MailerLite so we can deliver the notes list. If that token is not set, addresses stay in D1 only.
- Email provider (optional) — A welcome message may be sent via Resend (or similar) when those secrets are configured. Without them, signup still works; you simply will not receive an automated welcome yet.
Unsubscribe and deletion
To leave the list or ask us to delete your address, email shipshopamerica455@gmail.com from the address you used to subscribe, with the subject “Unsubscribe” or “Delete my email”. We will remove it from our D1 list (and from MailerLite if used).
